Product Overview

RCS-2131 Flame-Retardant Electrical Insulating Resin is a two-component, room-temperature curing polyurethane encapsulation resin designed for electrical insulation, waterproof sealing, and mechanical protection of cable joints and electrical connections.

After mixing and curing, RCS-2131 forms a flexible, flame-retardant, waterproof, and abrasion-resistant elastic layer with excellent impact resistance and reliable resistance to moisture and atmospheric corrosion. Its low-viscosity formulation allows the resin to flow easily into small gaps and complex joint structures, ensuring thorough filling and dependable sealing performance.

With its convenient split-pack design, RCS-2131 is easy to handle on site and is especially suitable for low and medium voltage cable joint protection in harsh service environments, including indoor, outdoor, underground, mining, marine, and underwater applications.

Installation Method

  1. Prepare a clean and dry mixing container.
  2. Pour Component A and Component B into the container according to the specified weight mixing ratio of 1:6.
  3. Mix thoroughly until the material becomes uniform.
  4. Pour the mixed resin into the area or device to be encapsulated.
  5. Allow the resin to cure completely at room temperature.

Handling and Storage Precautions

  • Keep the product sealed during storage.
  • Once opened, the material should be used up as soon as possible.
  • Mixing containers, tools, and application surfaces must be dry and free from water or moisture.
  • Spilled resin may be cleaned with a suitable solvent.
  • Do not allow solvent to enter unused material or sealed resin packs.
