Product Overview

Richon 72.5kV–252kV Outdoor Composite Termination is designed for high‑voltage power cable systems requiring reliable outdoor insulation and sealing performance. The termination adopts silicone rubber composite insulation combined with a high‑performance stress control system, providing excellent resistance to pollution flashover, UV radiation, ageing, and environmental stress.

Compared with traditional porcelain terminations, the composite silicone rubber structure significantly reduces weight while maintaining high electrical performance. The termination typically weighs approximately half of a porcelain termination at the same voltage level, allowing easier transportation and installation in field conditions.

The product is suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations and operates reliably in ambient temperatures from –50°C to +50°C and at installation altitudes up to 4000 meters.

Structural Design

The stress cone is injection‑molded from high‑quality EPDM rubber and installed using a spring cone carrier structure. The stress cone cover isolates the stress control layer from insulating compounds, preventing poor electrical contact with the cable outer semi‑conductive layer and avoiding performance degradation due to ageing.

A multi‑layer sealing system ensures excellent protection against moisture ingress and oil leakage during long‑term operation. Optimized rain shed geometry improves pollution flashover resistance in heavily contaminated outdoor environments.

Standards and Testing

The product design and performance are type tested according to relevant international and national standards including IEC 60840, IEC 62067, GB/T 11017, and GB/T 18890.

Installation Conditions
