RCS-2220 Electrical Stress Control Tape

Product Overview

RCS-2220 Electrical Stress Control Tape is a high dielectric constant rubber-based tape designed to regulate electrical field distribution in medium-voltage cable joints and terminations. The tape effectively reduces electrical stress concentration at the end of cable shielding and ensures a smoother voltage distribution along the insulation surface.

With excellent conformability and stable electrical characteristics, RCS-2220 adapts easily to irregular cable surfaces and complex joint structures. The tape modifies the electrical field around the cable shield break, reducing localized stress levels and restoring a more uniform electric field similar to that found in continuous cable insulation.

RCS-2220 is widely used in medium-voltage cable accessories for improving electric field distribution in cable terminations and intermediate joints up to 35 kV, providing reliable stress control without the need to construct traditional stress cones.
